Soldier's Parcel Theft What appears to be a case of organised pilfering was reported, by a Christchurch woman who sent a parcel to a soldier in the Pacific shortly before Christmas. It contained a quantity of writing material and a fountain pen. When it arrived the pen was missing. "Fountain pens are difficult to obtain and a theft of this kind is disappointing," she said. "It makes one wonder whether it Ls, safe to declare; correctly the contents of a parcel for fear that the most desirable articles will be taken." There is no indication of what point on the journey the theft was committed.
