CURTAILMENT OF StKVlLfc NOTICE TO CAR OWNERS The following notice lias been issued to all members ol' the E.P.S. Transport Unit in the Whakatane Borough:— "Consequent upon the relaxation of E.P.S. activities your vehicle will not be further required for E.P.S. purposes unless circumstances render necessary the resumption of Intensive E.P.S. training. On behalf of the committee ii wish to thank you for making your ear available to the Service. "E.P.S. stickers are now to be removed l'rom the windscreen. With respect to the reserve petrol issued to you, two-thirds of the cost of which was paid by the Government, the Director of National Service now directs that this shall be recalled. This is to be used by the local authority and. ay Ml be oflset against 'its general purposes, petrol license, and a credit made to the Government for its earlier subsidy. In consequence would you please deliver to me at Armstrongs Garage, the petrol thus issued to you. Would you please attend, to this at your early conA'cnience and not later than Saturday, September 11th." G. G. GOOD, Local Controller.
