Fred Mac Murray, better looking than ever, has a new leading lady— Rosalind Russell —in his latest Paramount romanti-comedy,, "Take a Letter, Darling," ivliich comes Saturday and Monday to the Regent. Theatre. Mac Murray, who has played opposite such cinema lovelies. as Madeleine Carroll,, Barbara Stanwyck, Irene Dunne, Patricia ivforison, delivers the best comedy job of his career as Miss Russell's heart-throb. He is cast as her secretary, although he doesn't know anything about shorthand or typing. That lady, a big business woman, hires MacMur-. ray to charm the 'jealous wives of prospective, clients. Much to her chagrin, she herself is charmed, but she Avon't admit it. Also in the picture are Macdonald Carey, ex-lead-ing man to Gertrude Lawrence, Robert Bcnchlcy and Constance Moore.
