POWER BOARD UNDERTAKING At the meeting of the Wlui'.\atano County Council last Tuesday, th& Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board? wrote, asking the council's approval* to the. erection on the roadside (East Bank South Road) of a transformer structure in connection with the supply of power from the Board's system to the Whakatane Borough. The existing equipment is erected on a 2 pole structure, butt owing to the Aveight and, size of the* new equipment a concrete foundation at. ground level is necessary. The council resolved that the application be approved, it being a condition thereof that the Bay of! Plenty Electric Power Board par cost of deviating or widening the* East Bank South Road if such work; should be found necessary and that the council understands that by? consenting to this application, uot responsibility for accidents will de-» volve on the council.
