Many Twin Lambs
The lambing season in most YVaikato districts is now practically at its height, and reports to hand indicate a very gratifying percentage. In some of the smaller flocks there are already actually more ewes with twin lambs than with single lambs. The mild weather prevailing has lessened the death rale of new-born lambs and their mothers. Land l Sales Bill A meeting of farmers and others, held recently at. the instance of the Makara-Hutt Valley province of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, unanimously adopted the following motion: "That this public "meeting of fanners and others deplores live Government's introduction of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Bill, which is clumsy,, ill-con-sidered and unfair measure.
