PRISONER OF WAR
GLEN BURT WRITES HOME The first intimation of his whereabouts since his capture on May 15 last, when his 'plane was brought down over GermaYiy, lias been received by his parents, Mr and Mrs H. Burt, of Matata, from Flight Sgt Glen R. Burt who states that he is safe and well and is being treated reasonably. The letter which is dated May 28, shows, his anxiety to relieve his family of any undue worry as to his whereabouts. The letter which todk a little over two' months ao arrive states that, he cannot as yet give any settled address. Glen Burt it will be remembered left New Zealand on his birthday, January 1, 1941, trained in Canada for six months and has since been on active .service in England. He is 22 years old and has two brothers overseas A. R. Burt (Air Force) and Trevor Burt (Navy) while another brother Sgt Major F. A. Burt after serving in Libya, Greece and Crete is now on home duty at Waiouru.
