A good rifle shot he was known for his marksmanship throughout the district. Be joined the staff of Messrs Armstrong as a mechanic and entered tAmip in the latter part of 1941. He left New Zealand in May of the present year and had not been in Egypt long before the accident which cost him his life occurred. The deepest sympathy will be extended to his family in their loss.
