ACTION CONFIRMED
LIBERTY LOAN INVESTMENT HARBOUR BOARD'S GESTURE At the meeting of the Whakatane Harbour Board the chairman, Mr W. R. Boon, reported l that he had authorised the investment of £2500 in the last Liberty Loan. Of this amount, the first investment £750 had: been paid, and it was proposed from the amount on fixed deposit due on the 4th instant, to pay the final instalment of £1750. The Board unanimously approved the chairman's action and' authorised the final payment of £1750 forthwith. Later in the meeting the Treasurer reported that with the payment of the final instalment of £1750 to the Liberty Loan the credit in the Harbour Fund Account wouhl be £55)76 13s 9d. The half yearly instalment of interest and sinking fund would be due on the 30th Sep-: tcmber.
