THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE FOR YOUNG READERS ONLY
What ho. what ho, ma hearties. Here Ave arc again with the bright sunshine streaming down on us all and the sea like glass. Frosty mornings though—but in spite of that I certainly do love the fine bright days and [ know Butinsky docs too. Now I iind that I: have a lot of work to do on the S.9[.i Good Endeavour and so I have beached her and have started, scraping' her hull. You've no idea what a lot of sea growth can hang on to her lccel. There is seaweed feet long and millions of mussels and litcliens. I've got to scrap 'em all oil and give her a good coating of copper paint. You sec I want to take you on another cruise this summer because 1 am really beginning to think the war will soon be over. Won't it bo grand -eh? I intend to celebrate with a special salute of 21 guns from the top of the Whale, so if you a thundering noise on an otherwise fine day listen hard and see if it goes lor twenty-one times and if it docs, it'll be me, saluting the Peace. Now for our story.
