TERROR WILL END
OVERTHROW OF HITLER t APPEAL. TO GERMAN WOMEN Thus spoke Martha Arendsee, a member of the former German Reichstag, in a recent broadcast from Moscow to the women of Germany:— German women : Hitler told .you : "In this, war there will be. only survivors or destroyed." You are given your choice. Which is it to be ? At Stalingrad 240,,000 ol' your husbands, fathers sons, and brothers were destroyed because Hitler desired it. But 91,000 survivors, with 24 generals, obeyed not Hitler's order but their own better judgment. They surrendered. They will return to their families, when the war is over—when Hitler is-no longer there. German women! The dead of Stalingrad cannot, speak to you. But the survivors, count on a happy reunion with their families when Hitler has been overthrown. They call to you: "Stay alive! Keep well for a better future! Do' as we did I Don't obey Hitler! Don't brinij death and ruin on yourselves!". German women! 1 know you t time and again: "What arc we to do to save ourselves ? The' Nazis force us to work until Ave drop, take our food ration cards away if we don't want to work for the war, torture us, throw us into concentration camps. Women are executed every day. Why. only on January 30 Hitler threatened that all who did not obey him would be destroyed." Yes, but listen! Hitler and the Nazi gang can continue their cruel work of destruction against our German nation only as long as they are opposed to sporadic resistance. When all those Avho. Avant peace unite in common resistance, then Hitler's power over you will come to an end. When those who have survived unitedly refuse to enter the arms factories or to go to the front, when the soldiers at the front lay doAvn their arms as one man and give themselves hp, or with their arms return to the fatherland to save you from destruction by Hitler, then the Avar, and the terror,, will end. The. advance of the Red Army cannot be stemmed. HaA 7 e no illusions. With Hitler there can be no jjeace. The danger that Germany Avill become a theatre of Avar increases daily. British and American troops stand ready. The air raids Avill intensify, and so Avill the catastrophic situation into which Hitler has led the German nation.
