ELECTRICITY SHORTAGE
DISASTROUS, was the word used by Mr W. Sullivan, M.P., to describe the effect of the cutting off of electricity throughout the Bay of. Plenty, yet we, the users of this power have to be made to realise that only we ourselves can prevent such action by the' most careful study of economy. Just how the country came to drift into such a pass is not now a matter that concerns us most. The facts have been laid bare by the supply authorities and there is no escaping them. Once more therefore we appeal to all consumers to exercise the greatest frugality in the use of electricity for only in this manner can we safeguard ag&iask the cutting off of the supply without a second's notice.
