THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE

What ho, Avhat ho. ma hearties. I have only been flooded out twice since I last wrote to you. You remember the big rain fall on Saturday—well it caused a huge slip on the hillside .just above my cave. That Avasn't the Avor.st though, for all the Avaler came, pouring down through a crack in the. exposed rock and fell in a regular Avatcrfall on my bed. It put my lire, out and made an awful mess of my bread box. Only pcterkin seemed to enjoy it and he .started sAvimming and diving into the large pool in the centre' of the floor. Well I pugged up the crack Avith clay and I thought I had blocked it when doAvn she came on Sunday night again just as I had snuggled into bed to go to sleep. Oh, Avhat a night I had. Luckily I haA'c tons of nice dry Avood so I made the lire up and curled lip in the armchair and Avent to sleep. In the morning T found Pcterkin in my bed (which Avas saturated) and Butinsky, if you please right insided eating cheese from the .safe. Such is life, and, so you can j.ust guess -what a lot of cleaning up I had to do. Tilings are more ship shape now and J have put Butinsky on a strong chain at nights. I don't like goats coming inside, do you?
