PATRIOTIC DANCE

EVENING AT OTAKIRI The monthly dance organised by the Otakiri Patriotic Committee, was held in the hall on Tuesday' July 6th; Music was supplied by the Gaiety Boys Orchestra, extras being played by Mrs Armstrong. Mir Lord acted as M.C. and arranged a splendid programme for the. dancers. During the evening Monte Carlo waltzs Avere won by Miss Ashton and Mr Magee,, also by Mrs Lord and Mr K. Mackrell. The prize of 10/for the special Monte Carlo was won by Miss Ferguson and Mr J. Grang. A deliciious home-made supper was served by the ladies committee, and two 'Competitions, a dinner and an iced cake, were won by Mr M. F. Kedgeley and Mr O'Brien respectively.
