STATION ROAD

THE USUAL WASH-OUTS SLIPS OCCUR IN COUNTY The flood, waters from the Wlia katane River were once aga'n respon sible for the usual washouts on the low-lying stretch of Station Roa last Monday evening. The encroachments however were not sufficiently serious to suspend traffic but will call for considerable road repairs, by the county staff. Slips and washouts were fairly general throughout the county last week-end and the worst occurred on the Ming.anu ! . road past Galatea where a considerable section wa c undermined. The Raroa Stream Bridge approach was a'so washed out and will necessitate considerable repairs.
