CANNING & CO., Auctioneers. 44 WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Whakatane County Council held on Tuesday the 22nd day of June 1943 the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday the 20th day of Ju!ly 1943 at 11 a.m. at the* Council Chambers, ,Whakatane. RESOLUTION IN PURSUANCE and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 122 of the Counties Act 1920 and Section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act 1929 and with the consent of the ratepayers of that area in the Whakatane County known as the Otakiri Hall Separate. Rating District, as testified by a Petition dated the 21st day of June 1943 and signed by a majority of the ratepayers in the said area—the lands comprising such area being fully described in the Schedule, annexed to the said Petition a copy of which Schedule is attached to the minutes of this meeting, THE WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby resolves by way of Special Order to make and levy a Separate rate of one half penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the said area, and that such separate rate, shall be an annually recurring rate during the period required in which to repay in full all moneys advanced by the Council in connection with the Otakiri Hall in accordance with /the Prayer of the said Petition and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of August in each year during the said period. A copy of the schedule describing the lands comprising the said Otakiri Hall Separate Rating District is deposited at the office of the Council and is open to the inspection of the public during ordinary office hours.
