WORK OF ASSOCIATION INCREASED PRODUCTION NEEDED The Now Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association in a circular to shareholders announce the completion of another successful year's: trading. The turnover of its combined undertakings reached a new record total of one million, three hundred and thirty-eight thousand, six hundred and eight)' pounds. Altogether some four hundred and live thousand, six hundred head, of pigs, bobby calves and cull cattle were handled on owners' account, for which final payments are in course of preparation. For pigs supplied from Ist. November tu- "31st May on ..all .'grades, and of supply a linaf payment of %d -per lb has bjicn declared, fn addition, shareholders wliose supply is qualified. by shares will, on the full season's supply,, i.e.. Ist June. 1942, to 31st May. 1943, receive a cash shareholders' bonus of Vsd per lb plus a credit- on the unpaid balance of shares, of a similar amount, or d per lb. .In view of Hie acute shortage of pig meats for local and Armed Forces' requirements, a strong appeal is made to its shareholders tor | increased production.
