"THE ALPHA AND OMEGA"
There, is hut a step between me and death— One tick of time, one indrawn breath— Is a solemn statement in Holy Writ— Who can, deny Hie truth of it. The old, the young', both rich and poor— t Sometime must fa;-e ileath's darksome door— Through which each soul must pass alone— . To know even as it is known— See things hidden from mortal eyes— Wonders beyond human surmise. An antidote for forebodings grim— Re. what lies beyond our horizon's rim The Good Book says is found in Him Whose, voice rebuked the' 'whelming wave Brought Lazarus living from the grave To all who have the ears to hear His voice is still ringing loud and clear To banish doubt and outlaw fear And vanquish death in our final strife "I am the Ressurcction' and the Life." H. SERGANT.
