OTAKIRI GATHERING
The Otakiri Women's Institute held, its monthly meeting in the Otakiri Hall on Thursday, June 3, •■vith Mrs Armstrong presiding. A :iew member, Mrs W. Mayo, was proposed, and Mrs V. Peck is to be *he delegate for conference. The Golden Thread, the subject being "Jessie McKay" was given by Miss I. Murray, after which Mrs Armstrong delighted the meeting with several solos. Afternoon tea was served by Mes dames F. Mayo and Dunning, afte which the afternoon clo ed with the singing of the National Anthem. The competition winners were:— Biscuits, Mrs Cobden 1; Mrs Dunning 2: M-s Smi'h 3. Cut dow/ winter garment for chi'd up to 1 i/t n s .->> i. mu say >; fvir; lvian e 2. flower, Mrs VV.
