CHAIRMAN RE-ELECTED
COUNTY COUNCIL POSITION
MR J. L. BURNETT'S NEW TERM Following a comprehensive re. view of the work of the County Council over the past year Mr J., L. Burnett was unanimously re-elected chairman at the annual meeting of the council last week. The remuneration was fixed the same as in past years (£100) travelling expenses to be additional. The finance and. general purposes committee was, also re-appointed as under the chairman, -\vitli Grs McCrackcn. Burt, McCreadv, Hunter and Cawte, and the works committee Crs Luxton," Smith, MeGougan and McCulloch.
