WELL UP ON WINNING LIST The progeny of the Southland owned Man's Pal won seven races during Easter. LOCATED AT MASTERTON Beau Vite, who was brought back from Australia last week is now located at T. R. George's Rosswood Farm, Masterton. OUT FOR A SPELL Lord Nuffield, the South Island champion sprinter, is at present being spelled, consequent upon a recurrance of leg trouble preventing him from being raced in; the. near future. G.N. STEEPLES Interesting entries for the Great Northern Steeplechase are those of Noko, Slayer, Spendthrift and Valantua. They are all well forward in racing condition and getting through strong preparations satisfactorily. BACK FROM AUSTRALIA The Newmarket Handicap winner, All Veil, owned by Mr G. J. Barton, of Dunedin, returned from Melbourne last week, and will be racing in this Dominion in the near future. " TRANSFERRED TO HURDLING Treasurer, winner of a Winter Cup and several other good races, is to be tried as a hurdler this winter, and may make his first appearance under the altered circumstances at the Wellington meeting in July. BEST THREE YEAR OLD The honour of being the best three year old in the present season has been gained by Lord Chancellor owned by Mr A. J. Court, of Auckland. He has now started 12 times for six wins, three seconds and a fourth. Purchased for 625 guineas he has won in stakes £3500. As a four year old next season Lord Chancellor is likely to loom large on the winning list.
