With immortal traditions, slogans and songFreedoms cavalcade marches triumphantly on —- Fighting to overcome evil Avith good— And lay the foundations of true brotherhood. Hero's all! whose faith shines bright— Through tribulations darkest night. Down through the ages there has come — The primal love for hearth and home — A place apart, where man can rest — With those he loves, avlio love him best — A shrine secure, neath freedoms dome.— The place above all places, "home." For home and beauty man has -wrought— Miracles by deed and thought. But. all through human history— The foes of peace and liberty— Have sown tares, among love's golden grainIntolerance and lust for gain— Which undermine the Nation's life 1 — And, end in homicidal strife. "What's in a name" is often said— The An/.acs the living and the dead — Around the. world, their fame, has spread—• They left their all to cross the sea— And fight for peace and liberty. Their sons perpetuate their name 1 — With hearts alight with freedom's flame — Marching like their sires of yore—•; With the Anzac colours on before — Their slogan the Alpine stripling bore — "Excelsior" "Excelsior.
