BOWLERS ENTERTAIN

CLOSE OF SEASON TOURNEY

The proverbial good, luck of the Bowling Ckib did not hold for the closing day functions the weather being cold and showery. In spite of these adverse conditions some good bowling took place. The ladies on this occasion were entertained by the bowlers and the efforts of the sterner sex in juggling with tea pots and cake dishes caused much merriment among the ladies;, who afterwards voted the alternoon tea a great success. Ihe menfolk had. their laugh when the ladies lined up for their competition which was won by Mrs S. J. McKenzie. The president.. Mr W. S. Henderson, in a short address thanked, the ladies for their assistance during the past year stating that their voluntary eflorts were of a great, financial benefit to the club. The vice versa game caused some surprises and was thoroughly enjoyed. Details were:— Henderson, Alexander, R. Wilson IS v Me Isaac, Bennett and 9. Donaldson, Howat and Topp .11 v King, Shaw and Head 10. Currah, Burgess Creeke and. Taylor Ifi v Caisley, Drube, Smith andi Murphy 11. Littlejohn, Grant, Mcintosh and Otley 17 v Tippett, Pearson, O'Rouriia and Allen 10. McLeod, Hollis, Martin and 3\lcIvenzie 25 v Luxton, Bigelow, Calling and Grace 7. A pairs tourney also was held and resulted in a win for Grace (leads) and Hollis (skips) after a., play off with Smith and Drube 0-3.
