ELECTRICAL ENERGY
SERVICE TO THE BOROUGH ENGINEER'S REPORT In his report to the Borough Council last Monday the Borough Electrical Engineer, Mr F. W. Lysaght, stated as under:— Substation Maintenance: A start has been made with the painting of all the transformers and switch cabinets at the different substations. New Installations: One new lighting and heating instaflation has been inspected and connected to the supply also l a number of alterations and additions. New Seryice. Line: One new service line lias becxi erected, at the Heads to supply lighting and heat' ing. Water Works: The pumping plants haveb een in service every day duriitg the month and are in fair order. All plant at the main pumping station has had a coat of paint and another coat will be put on as soon as possible. Hill-crest Plant: The new 3 h.p. motor has lieen fitted to the pump on the. Hillcrest plant ;so that the pressure could be raised to supply Mr G. Hamill's residence as instructed by the council. Building Permits: The following building permits have been issued during the month: Additions to residences. 2. The value of these buildings being £230.
