5 MEETING AT TE TEKO r The Te Teko branch of the Wor men's Division of the Farmers' Un- . ion held its annual meeting on the ; 20th March with a good attendance. 1 The meeting opened with a reading . of the Creed, then the president and i secretary gave a report on the year's ; work and balance sheet. » Mrs Eivers resigned from the chair . and Mrs Goodwin,, the former secre- > tary, was voted to that piace of r honour, Mrs Smith kindly taking on [ the secretaryship. Mrs Haultain and Mrs Jensen honoured the meeting with their presence. Mrs Haultain said that she had meant to speak on the poor'attendance and lack of interest last year,, but she refrained observing : that as members looked so cheerful and full of interest that there was nothing she could say. It was agreed to have written talks , on Adult Education, the subjects to be chosen by the secretary. Meetings to be held monthly with afternoon tea. The meeting then closed with a dainty afternoon tea.
