He was referring to a Christ-church report that the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association had decided to congratulate the Canterbury Beekeepers-' Association on refusing to supply honey to the Internal Market.-. <ng Dh'ision. Tlie Minister said that the purpose .of the regulations was to ensure that the essential priorities such as requirements for the armed forces,-prisoners of A\'ar parcels, and hospitals, eould be fully met and the balance remaining spread as equitably as possible for the general public. To meet the priority demands, the division was empowered to purchase or direct the. sale of 70 per cent, of the crop produced during the coming year. There Avas flo intention of sending a!l South Island supplies to Auckland for processing and redistribution.
