* Mrs Edwards and daughters of Napier, are the guests, of Mrs E. N. White, Waimana. Word has been received that Jack Conolly formerly a well known member of the Whakatane School teaching staff has now been promoted to/ the rank of Lieut-Colonel, and has direct -charge of a thousand men in the Middle East.
