SUBSTANTIAL RESPONSE

TO-DAY'S issue publishes the final figures released by the provisional secretary of the Rowing Club Trust Committee's appeal for funds whereby to effect much needed renovations to the Club's shed. The response has been particularly gratifying mainly in view of the spontanious nature: of practically all the donations to hand. There has been little or no canvassing. The final sum is £112 3s 6d which it is anticipated will be built up~to £120 when some further promised donations come to hand. In the meanwhile the work of renovation is now well in hand and the shed will be in good condition well before the winter.
