ST. PATRICK'S NIGHT
GAY LOCAL DANCE MANY POPULAR ITEMS The St. Patrick's dance held in the Caledonian Hull last Wednesday evening attracted a large crowd of dancers and merrymakers. Monte Carlos, competitions, and a lucky spot dance provided entertaining interludes to the other dances and were won 1))' Mr P. Brady and Miss P. .Tell'ares, Miss P. Doherty and partner, Mr -Lenard. Miss N. Rivett.. Miss ]'. Sullivan. The hall was decorated as befitted the occasion with imitation shamrock leaves and greenery, and was a credit, as were the supper arrangements, to the persons responsible. Two items, the "Rose of Tralce"'; and "Believe, me if all those Endearing Charms" were sung very pleasingly at different intervals;. The M.C.'s duties for the evening were efficiently carried out by Mr (T.. Atkinson, and the music supplied by the Gaiety Boys. A really enjoyable evening was brought to a close soon after one with the singing of "Old Lang Syne" and "God Save the King.''
