TOOK BLAME—AND CASH
Now York, Jan. 6. Airmen in Britain arc smiling this week over a story concerning, a senior Air Force man, formerly a Federal Minister. He was a member of a court mar-, tial at which Canadians, New Zealandcrs and one Englishman gave* excellent excuses for having llown under a bridge. One youthful Australian, similarly charged, had no excuse. The senior Australian officer disgustedly told fellow court merrw bers: "He'll be the first Australian Ii have ever known wlio didn't havesome sort of excuse." The court's president, dryly observed: "Don't misjudge your countryman—the others were seen tlying under the bridge once, but he flew under it three times, thereby tak-* ing all bets."
