GARDEN PARTY

PLUNKET SOCIETY AFTERNOON

SUM OF £15 RAISED

The Whakatane branch of the Plunket Society held its annual garden party at the residence of Mrs K. S. Eggers, King Street, last lliursday. There was a splendid attendance some 70 mothers being present and liberally patronising the various events. The grounds were admirably suited to the. occasion and the committee is grateful to Mrs Eggers for her interest and cooperation which made the event possible. As a result the sum of) £15 was cleared on the day's; activities. The committee desires to express its appreciation to all who assisted and also to those who have patronised their efforts so consistently in the. past. Particularly are they grateful to Sister Rutherford who kindly consented to judge the baby competition. A result of the afternoon's activities reveals the following winners of various events: — Baby competition, 6 months and under: Peter Sis,am 1; Margaret Gebony 2. 12 . months and under: Glenda Macintosh 1; Elizabeth Schofield 2. 12 months to 2 years: Allison Riddell 1; Robert Allan 2. Taipo: Mrs P. Bridger. Cake: Mrs King, Jnr. Dinner: Mrs S. Windlebourne. Sweets: Mrs P. Bridger.
