L. Burnett, Newton Murray, Rad.cliffe, Barry and Lucas and Mrs. Hill. - It was resolved further that for the 'information of the Quota mittee, • Interzone delegates report to the next meeting of. this committee (in about three months time.) their district's statistics as follows: Patriotic district population—(a) No. of adults, (b) No. of children under 16 years, (c) No. of householders. Native population statistics to be kept separate from European population statistics. The chairman. Mr J. L. Burnett, explained that the reason for keeping the Native population statistics separate from the European population statistics, was because hitherto the Maori people, had been asked to contribute to patriotic quotas on a lower per head basis than the European population. The reason for this was, of course, that the Maori people had other calls on their purses for Maori patriotic purposes which applied only to the , Maori people. ]
