EDGECXJMBE LODGE MEETING

INSTALLATION CEREMONY

A pleasant, ceremony was held at Edgecumbe last Thursday evening when the U.A.O.D. njet to witness the installation of P.A. Brother F. W. Sn el ling into the office of District President. Visitors were present from Tauranga. The installhr tion ■ceremony was per formed with impressive dignity' by P.D.P. Brother J. Mullins who in extending congratulations to P. A. Brother Snelling remarked that although the attendance at Lodge had diminished owing to war conditions, the senior officers would cany on and keep the Order alive until the boys came home and he hoped to have as large an attendance as before the war. Congratulations were, extended hy P.A. Brother Neal. P.A. Brother Snelling in reply thanked speakers for their good wishes and, said lie would do all in his power to efficiently carry out the duties of his. high office. Supper was served by ladies of the Lodge and the meeting closed.
