A NEW GLASS

A firm in Glasshouse. Street, don,, England, is exhibiting a kind of glass which -can be cut wilt'h a sharp knife and it will not break but merely tears: like a piece ol cloth. It is;, in one sense bombproof, because when a bomb explodes near it the Avhole pane of glass is blown out bodily and does not crack. It. is, however, not completely transparent, but it is translucent, and the light streams through it in a diffused fashion. It is magic, of woven glass fibres impregnated with a form of synthetic resin.
