OPOTIKI SHEEP FAIR

Messrs Dafgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their annual sheep fair at Qpotiki on Thursday, February 4 when a full yarding of all classes of sheep,came forward. There was a large and representative attendance of buyers from as far north as Tuakau, Thames., Waikato, Rotorua and Te: Teko districts.

Practically a total clearance was effected under the hammer and in spite of difficulties, occasioned by the war the sale was. completed in record time. • Realisations: Fat wethers: 24s to 265; fat ewes 12s to 13s 6d; 2-tooth ewes, good 23s to 27s Gd; medium sorts 21s to 225; 4-tooth ewes; 20s Gd to 23s 3d; 6-tooth ewes, 18s. to 225; 4-year ewes 18s to 21s; 5-year ewes 17s Gd to 21s;, medium sorts 14s to 16s Gd; inferior 12s to 13s Gd; full.mouth ewes 10$ to M.s; 2tooth wethers 19s; to 225; 4-tooth wethers 21s to 24s 9d; 4 and G tooth wethers 20s to 235; ewe lambs, medium sorts 16s to 19s;, wether lambs, medium sorts 12<3 to 14i>; cull lambs 8s to lis 6d; Shearling Romney rams 4 guineas to 7% guineas.,
