A POET'S DREAM
Calm is the night; The moon is bright. The stars: all shine, Ancl joy is. mine. The Nightingale sings, Ancl happiness brings, The flowers all close The birds repose. The dawn is grey; The sun's bright ray Climbs' the sky, Soft clouds go by. The birds now sing Of 'lovely s;pring, The day is born, I- greet the morn. The day's firtft. light,The sun is bright; The wind doth play Tliis lovely day. The flowers aglow, Wide rivers flow; Through wood and deli And all is we'll. The daylight fades In sunset, shades; Bach golden gleam An '.artist's dream. Birds on the wing Still play and sing, Notes sweet and clear Though night draws near.
