WELLINGTON WINDS
A lecturer on power generation recently said that enough commercial use is not being made of Wellington's notorious winds. Is ithis the beginning of a foul plot to wrench one* more child of nature from its plav. to pander to man's; genius for laziness and luxury? A warning lay seems to oo called for : Blow, blow, thou Wellington Wind, In boisterous innocence play, Dne day a bold, bad scientist's: mind Will think of some, ingenious way To set your nose to weary grind Of turning wheels, both night and, day; A slave whose, toil gives spoilt mankind Less need ito work; more time to play.
