WHAT MAY BE SENT The Prisoners of War Inquiry Office recently cabled an inquiry regarding further permissible articles for next-of-kin quarterly parcels, and have received information that tin or bakelite plates and ordinary forks and spoona may be included in next-of-kin parcels;, but it is reaffirmed that knives are still prohibited. When next-of-kin arc forwarding requests for information regarding complaints contained in the prisoners' letters it is; essential that the date of the prisoners' last letter be supplied. Over 200 acknowledgment cards m connection with parcels were received, from German camps by the inquiry office last week. Those desiring shirts to be included in their quarterly parcel must write to headquarters at Wellington promptly, giving name and address where known of the prisoner concerned; and also the rr.ze. required. Applications will be acknowledged when the inquiry office is in a position to advise- tlhe cost and instructions as. to the method of purchase.
