ELDERLY MAN'S DEATH
FALLS DEAD IN STREET DUE TO HEART FAILURE Discovered in a dying condition on the pavement at the corner of Domain and McGarvey's Roads last Saturday evening, about 5.15 p.m. an elderly man, Mr John William Stewart McCracken, of Whakatane, expired a few moments later before he could be removed^ The deceased was< fairly wellknown and had been suffering from heart weakness for some time. It is understood that he was on 1 his way to the doctors for further medical treatment and advice. He was aged 82.
