FAREWELL PARTY
GATHERING AT TE TEKO <* MR A. FERGUSON THE GUEST A happy gathering of friends of Mr A. Ferguson took place at the ; home of Mr and Mrs R. Goodriok. Te Teko, recently, before his depar- ' . ture for camp. A very happy time was spent in competitions, items and.' dancing. The programme had. a decidedly Scottish atmosphere, in deference to Mr Ferguson, who is- a member of the Whakatane Pipe Band. Pipe solos were played, by Mr W. Howat, while the Seann Trubhais was neatly danced by Miss Jean Howat. Solos were provided by Messrs Jim Davidson, Tom Eagleson and W. Sharkey while. Mr Mr D. McD. Vin-t cent supplied a popular elocutionary item. Among those present were: Mrs A. G. Goodriclt, Mrs M. M. Star--key, Mrs T. Eagleson, Mrs J. H. Heading, Mrs M. Wetherell, Mrs; V. Davidson, Mrs M. Thorn, Mrs H. Newman, Mrs Higham, Mrs Lees, Mrs Taylor. Misses G .Young, Betyt Goodrick, R. Laloli, J. Howat, M. Howat, J. Fitzgerald.
