NO ERGOT COLLECTION
NOT NEEDED THIS YEAR In a statement made by the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon J. G. Barclay, it is stated that there will be no need this year to collect ergot for war purposes. The British Government has it is claimed sufficient to meet all requirements for the present time but there is likely to be a renewal of the demand next year. The above information is likely to disappoint several local residents who have already sltarted collecting the ergot in anticipation of a repetition of last year's campaign^
