BABY CONTEST

TO raise no less than £350 by means of a 'Baby Contest,' in a district the size of Edgecumbe is an achievement which cannot but surprise and amaze. However it serves to illustrate just how much can be achieved by a combined district effort plus a little healthy competition. In this manner Edgecumbe has set a definite example to the rest of the district, and at the same time has raised a substantial contribution toward its quota for the New Year's levy of the Patriotic Fund. Our warmest congratulations to all those taking part on their unselfish service and enthusiasm.
