THE WHAKATANE CLUB Results of last Saturday's competitions were as follows: — Veteran's Trophy: Bushett 91—24 • —67: Syme 80—17 —73. Colts, Competition: Mollgaard 90—■ 18—72;* Barry 97—15—79. Next Saturday the Club's Seventh Annual Tournament will commence at 1.2.30, and will run for two and a half days, the net proceeds to be donated to the Patriotic Funds. Entries from several clubs have been received and an invitation is extended to all golfers to take part. The course is in excellent order and given fine weather it should be a very enjoyable tournament. The ladies are catering for lunches and afternoon teas.
