NEW ISSUE THIS WEEK

The issue of new ration couponbooks designed to serve lor a full 12 months began last Monday. The form of application for the new books is the O counterfoil out of the present books. Both book And counterfoil, with the required particulars filled in, must be presented to obtain the new book.i For clothing and footwear, only the old books will be used from Monday-until May 31 of next year, for during that period- the balance (if any) of the M coupons are still redeemable and the O coupons, hitherto unused, will be available on the same basis as the M coupons. In the new boo'ks, the M coupons will not be available until June next year. This, differs from advice issued previously. 3'ea will still be purchased , at anj' shop. Coupons 21 to 26 in the old books are cancellcd. For Nov-t, ember, coupons 1 to -t in the nentf book will be available/ but their value has not yet been announced. For sugar the consumer must remain registered with one retailer, and in November coupons 1 to 4 in the new book will, be available*.
