ATLANTIC CHARTER AND FEDERAL UNION
Sir,—Whilst those advocates of the Atlantic Charter and Federal Union propose a centralised fiscal policy for their vassal states which would come under their jurisdiction, we must view with suspicion the aspect of the New World Order plans, which arise from those jDolitlcal jugglers of British and Foreign economics who were formerly the leading advocates of disarmament and the League of Nations. And now whilst the war is raging these self same individuals are offering the people "Federal Union," as a guaranteed cure to promote peace! Can you imagine New Zealand being dominated by a centralised banking institution? Headquarters, Wall Street; this would be "Federal Union." We can hold out the hand of friendship to the American people but we don't want the British Com-' monwealtli to be vassal states to a monetary combine that recognises neither creed nor nation. This is the enemy within our gates- Econ* omic peace can only be had by al-» lowing every nation to conduct its fiscal policy free of economic pressure from private or foreign capi-. tal, this in its self would produce peace and goodwill to world nations. Therefore Federal Union must be fought to the last ditch; lor £o retain our sovereignty of state and the independence of our peoples, this can be accomplished by getting rid of party politics in this Do-* minion. Yours- etc., W. BRADSHAW.
