The cost of administration of all Patriotic funds raised and. expended during the first two years of the present war averaged onl\ r 4/5 per £100, or less than one-quarter per cent, or one halfpenny in#the pound. The cost of extra comforts for the sick and wounded this year (1942) for parcels to N.Z. prisoners of war (excluding those taken in the recent campaign) £271,000; and for the upkeep of the four main welfare agents £207,000.
