WINTER SPORTS GEAR

Provision of winter sports equipment for the Second N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East has again 'been made from patriotic funds. In a recent report, Lieutenant-Colonel F. Waite, overseas commissioner for the National Patriotic Fund Board, refers to an expenditure of £2582 for the purchase of Rugby, Association football, and. hookey material for the opening of the winter season in September-October. Colonel Waite- added- that the equipment that had been ordered would not fully equip the Second N.Z.E.F but would, enable reasonable provision to be made.
