EGGS EGGS
COLOSSAL ARMY DEMAND Settlers are once again reminded that the authorities arc demanding that increased supplies of surplus eggs should be offered. The request is not merely to feed the city population, that is only secondary consideration. The Army's needs are colossal, so- all possible assistance is sought to fulfil thenrequirements. The peak laying season is now on | us, so advantage must be taken to build up our stores, in Auckland., A fair reasonable price for ungraded eggs is offered by storekeepers: and the Primary Production Council apprcciatc the co-operation so freely given by them in forwarding their collections to headquarters. Suppliers should take carc to offer only sound, clean and full sized eggs, otherwise the strokeepers will be penalised in the grading store for small and stained ones and they have a marked effect on his account, sale returns.
