PIG MARKETING
OPERATIONS REVIEWED
MR R. DUNNING NEW CHAIRMAN"
Special mention of the work of farmers' wives, who when* tlieir husbands went overseas with the fighiting forces continued to carry on with the work of the farm, and managed in a most creditable manner, was a point of Mr C. R. Wil-' son's review of the year's work at the annual meeting of. the local committee of the Pig Marketing Association. Mr Wilson said that he was pleased to see two such ladies present at the meeting, who were taking a lively interest in the affairs of cooperative marketing and incidentally seeking, to consolidate and improve their own position. The Association, had he said, extended its operations throughout the Plains and he hoped in view of the recent encouraging movement of the directors of the Rangitaiki Dairy Company to see still greater progress made in this district.. Mr 11. Dunning of Ota'kiri, was elected chairman for the ensuing year.
