SPECIALIST WORKERS
POOLING OF SERVICES SUG-
GESTED
The suggestion that the services of special workers employed by major firms, or serving them in a subsidiary capacity, should, be grouped to enable the work required of. them to be done by the minimum of labour, was made by Mr E. llowden, the Crown representative on the Armed Forces Appeal Board, Wellington. He was referring to specialist workers, employed by various firms, who were appealed, for recently. Mr Rowden said it appeared that these workers did the normal 40 hours a week, whereas if their services were grouped it. might be possible for the work required to be done by fewer men working longer hours,.
