BENZINE CONSERVATION
Sir, —Of course nobody knows who "Fair Play'" is but he-proved, himself a nosy bird evidently short of something to do so howls the young people down. At least one of his statements is wrong so stick your nose a bit further next time old boy. Why the young people? Why not go after something bigger? A farmer in the Waimana-Nukuhou district evidently gets sufficient benzine to hop in his car and off for a few days "leisure. Of course not for just 1.60 miles. A special trip to AVhakatane for his benzine is the usual tiling. Is this not Avasting tyres and benzine? Is it not worsp than an occasional dance? Yes", "Fair Play"l agree this is galling to know and something should be done. The authorities should look to such cases before bothering the minor offenders. The boys in camp have a wonderful time 1 , with buses at "the gate on leave n,ight and the wastage of tyres and benzine is a disgrace. f Yours etc., "FAIRER PLAY WANTED" (Continued in previous Qolumn) «. i ■
